The most elegant Trans-Atlantic Yacht-Race

© Transat Classique

25 to 28 days at sea! The race will take the impressive fleet down the temperamental Bay of Biscay, the rear winds along the Portuguese coast will push the yachts to the hectic seas of  Gibraltar then across to Agadir, Morocco, the terminus for the first leg of this race.

For the second leg, which departs from Agadir, imagine Christmas at sea, imagine sweet trade winds, soft tropical squalls, magic sunsets and warmer and warmer weather as you approach the islands of the Caribbean. Then imagine the exotic scents of  the Caribbean that greet you as you approach the coast of  the tiny island of Saint-Bart’s...

Join the race and be part of the fleet of magnificent classic yachts, exceptional works of art, drawn by naval architects, loved and cherished by their owners, admired by spectators and supporters…

Like elegant ocean birds, these yachts were conceived to cross the oceans sailed by brave men and women thirsting for adventure and liberty. Join the likes of  Eric Tabarly, Sir Francis Chichester and Marin Marie and race across the Ocean!

Yachtsmen and women, owners and crews of classic yachts, have longed for a great ocean race challenge.

By creating a transatlantic race exclusively reserved for traditional yachts, we  highlight the particularities, qualities, purity and elegance of our classic boats.

This  race across the Atlantic Ocean from the cold, grey waters of  Brittany, to the warm blue water of the Caribbean is in its second edition. Be a part of an event that is destined to become a must amongst the international ocean yacht racing events. Join us for the second edition Transat-Classique in 2011.
