2nd Class (Traditional modern):

Wood, aluminum, steel, or polyester (GRP) boats built without principal frame, whose rigidity is compensated by a "monobloc" skin obtained thanks to the use of adhesives, resins or welding for the metal (cast-wood, laminated wood, polyester, weld metal...) which by this fact have a weight profit and distribution. Sailing boats built at the unity or in series, whose the first launching is before 1975, December the 31st. Traditional Yacht:

It does not exist at this date an official definition for the "traditional yacht".

If some boats answer to the eligibility criteria defined below (1st, 2nd, or 3rd Class), they are not specially regarded as «traditional yachts ".

In this case the owners will have to provide to the organization of the race a file of the boat including:

-         Plans

-         Pictures

-         Historical: with the historical facts attached to the boat

-         Prize list (of the boat or boat of the same series).

If it shows up after the study of the file that the boat is important in the study of the offshore race by its results, or if the boat is important in the yachting story (in another consideration that technological or economic), the organization will be able to accept the registration of the boat in the suitable class.

Note: For the races included in a championship: it's a commission composing of one member of each participating club which will profess a conclusion about the acceptation or the refusal of the registration of the boat.

Common rules:

- The pilot "cotres" are eligible.

- Originalities and modifications:

Within the framework of the safeguard of the integrity of the maritime heritage, the owners must strive to respect, as much as it is possible, the original character of the boat plans. However the organizers reserve the right to refuse or reclassify a sailing boat which they consider a modification non conformity. Only the reported pieces like topmast, outside rope or "mobiles" like spinnaker ole manufactured in carbon can be tolerated in 1st and 2nd class, with the appreciation of each committee of organization.
