| | About AGADIR
Agadir is the capital of southern Morocco, the county’s main fishing harbour. It is also famous for its pleasant climate and it’s beautiful, 6 km long, golden sandy beach. The international Agadir Airport is ultramodern and makes the harbour accessible from any point of the world. Agadir is a modern white city, with wonderful manicured exotic gardens.
What to see and do: The famous old Kasbah overlooking the harbour. It recalls the glorious past of the city. From the top you get an extraordinary view of soft hills on one side and of Agadir and the ocean on the other. Savour the local seafood served in the busy fishing harbour, the first sardine port in the world. Appreciate the museum of local art and of Berber traditions. Enjoy the markets with fresh food and famous local handicrafts.
The mild winter climate (January average midday temperature 20°C) and 300 sunny days a year have made it a major "winter sun" destination for Northern Europeans and the most popular seaside resort in Morocco. The summer is very pleasant too with temperatures between 25°C and 30°C. Agadir offers activities such as tennis, golf, horse and camel riding, water skiing, diving, surfing, deep-sea fishing … The Moroccan gastronomy is delicious with fresh fish, tagines, couscous, sweet-fruits and pastries. … |
AGADIR, shipyards and commercial port
Agadir is an important fishing and commercial port, with infrastructures conceived to lift boats between one and one thousand tons. Several shipyards, specialized in maintenance of fishing and merchant vessels as well as luxury yachts, are ready to repair or maintain your boats. They have both the equipment and the competence needed for framing, carpentry and cabinetwork, varnish, engine repair, electronics and rigging. You name it; they’ll do it, professionally!
The Agadir marina is brand new! It opened early 2007. Run by the co. SODEPORT the marina is perfectly protected from winds and heavy waves. Top security is guaranteed, you may leave your yacht for several months knowing it will be secure. Surrounded by apartments in modern Moroccan style, with a swimming pool and all the conveniences, the marina has all you need to enjoy your stay. |
